Whypoll Foundation and mapping bribery and corruption in India

Welcome to the latest initiative of Whypoll. India's only open government platform. Whypoll built India's first women's safety mobile app and map (whypoll.crowdmap.com) and also created the first political opinion aggregating Twitter feed (@netaspeak).

Bribery is one of the most common causes of corruption in India. It is unnecessary to emphasize how deep this basic root of corruption runs. Prevalent in small and extremely large scales, paying a bribe has almost become synonymous with getting anything done.

This map takes a baby step towards recording as many instances of bribery as is reported in the news or reported by individual users.
